چکیده
Pansy (Viola × wittrockiana Gams.) is an important and attractive ornamental plant with a wide variety of flower colors. To date, the molecular genetic understanding its colorful petal pigment patterns remains largely unknown. In this study, we analyzed bicolor petals “Mengdie” in cytological, physiological, transcriptomic aspects. Results showed that difference colors was mainly determined by distribution epidermal cells. Pigment analysis indicated anthocyanins had strong correlations color parameters, which acted as main factor coloration. Comparative transcriptome found total 43,908 unigenes mean length 682 bp. There were 24,323, 16,668, 8507, 7680 annotated Nr, Swiss-Prot, KOG, KEGG databases, respectively. Differential expression genes (DEGs) anthocyanin late biosynthesis (LBGs), VwF3′H, VwF3′5′H, VwUFGT, would be likely to play major role formation pansy. The selected DEGs verified qRT-PCR. This study contributes excellent insight into mechanism provides some useful information for modification

A study to establish relationship between the petal colour, extraction solvent, phenolic, flavonoid, anthocyanin content and antioxidant activity in three varieties of Viola × wittrockiana (yellow, red and violet) is reported in this article. Identification and quantification of flavonoids and anthocyanins using HPLC-DAD-ESI-MS is also presented. The antioxidant activity was studied by four dif...
متن کاملComparative Transcriptome Analysis of White and Purple Potato to Identify Genes Involved in Anthocyanin Biosynthesis
INTRODUCTION The potato (Solanum tuberosum) cultivar 'Xin Daping' is tetraploid with white skin and white flesh, while the cultivar 'Hei Meiren' is also tetraploid with purple skin and purple flesh. Comparative transcriptome analysis of white and purple cultivars was carried out using high-throughput RNA sequencing in order to further understand the mechanism of anthocyanin biosynthesis in pota...
متن کاملComparative Transcriptome Analysis Reveals Effects of Exogenous Hematin on Anthocyanin Biosynthesis during Strawberry Fruit Ripening
Anthocyanin in strawberries has a positive effect on fruit coloration. In this study, the role of exogenous hematin on anthocyanin biosynthesis was investigated. Our result showed that the white stage of strawberries treated with exogenous hematin had higher anthocyanin content, compared to the control group. Among all treatments, 5 μM of hematin was the optimal condition to promote color devel...
متن کاملEffect of Light Combination and Timing of Supplemental Lighting on Growth Characteristics and Flowering of Pansy (Viola × wittrockiana Rose)
The goal of this study was to examine how different light combinations and timing of supplemental lighting affect the vegetative and reproductive responses of pansy (Viola × wittrockiana Rose). The present study was designed as a factorial experiment based on a completely randomized block design with three replications and two factors of timing of supplemental lighting (night-interrupt...
متن کاملComparative Transcriptome Analysis of Genes Involved in Anthocyanin Biosynthesis in Red and Green Walnut (Juglans regia L.).
Fruit color is an important economic trait. The color of red walnut cultivars is mainly attributed to anthocyanins. The aim of this study was to explore the differences in the molecular mechanism of leaf and peel color change between red and green walnut. A reference transcriptome of walnut was sequenced and annotated to identify genes related to fruit color at the ripening stage. More than 290...
